I’m sure you have heard the buzz about the Ryder Cup is coming to the Western suburbs next week. It has the entire state of Minnesota excited! This yearly event is being held in Chaska starts Tuesday, September 27 – Sunday, October 2. The Ryder cup is a bi-annual matchplay golf competition between the United States and Europe, and is widely considered the largest golf event in the world.
Professional golfers can secure a place on the Ryder Cup team through cumulative points earned throughout the regular season, or as one of the four team captain picks. The US has won 24 Ryder Cup events and Europe has won 10, with two ties. The European team has won the last three Ryder Cups, so let’s bring the US good luck in Hazeltine to break the streak!
