Styling Laundry Rooms

Did you know the typical family of 4, washes about 300 – 390 loads of laundry per year, or about 6-7.5 loads per week, according to Procter & Gamble Co. We truly do spend a lot of time in our laundry rooms than we may think!

The designs and integration of the laundry space has gotten a lot more attention over the years. Not only are the machines important, but the designs of the actual rooms that feature a functional folding space, windows to enjoy the outdoors while sorting and decor and design to make you smile.
Here are a few of laundry rooms that stood out to us over the last few months:

Bright color and functional folding and high-end sink in 2nd level bathroom in Real Estate Nation Plymouth listing.

This laundry was moved by the homeowner, it now features beautiful backyard views, storage and proper hanging space. This Eden Prairie home was sold by your Real Estate Nation team.

Convenient main floor laundry and simple custom folding station created by this homeowner. Edina rambler home sold by Real Estate Nation.

Also very trendy in design is the combination laundry room and mudroom. It has become a very hardworking space for any size family. Think of kids being able to hang up their backpacks, finish their homework with even a working station and folding laundry space and an area to repack their bags to be ready for the next morning. The added counter can also act as a phone charging station with hidden cords before heading out the door. Hidden storage and design that makes you smile is key. Also notice (below photo) how the laundry unit is set-up higher for less bending and more eye-level loads and unloads.
